Old Mustangs:
Clearly, one car stands out as the greatest of
America's automobiles. It hasn't always been the fastest.
It hasn't always been the most attractive. What is has
been, though, is an aspiration for many Americans, young
and old alike. No car inspires such passion and following
across all demographics as the original Mustangs. Lately,
Ford appears to be attempting to return to the allure of
the past. Let's hope they don't ever
mess up and make it front wheel drive!
Volleyball:
A friend introduced me to competitive volleyball
in college. Many guys call it a "girly" sport,
but I've discovered that nothing could be further from
the truth. To excel, it requires strength, finesse and
God-given physical superiority. (That's height for those
of you not following along.) Most importantly, it
requires teamwork and a desire to win. It's a great sport
that's fun at all skill levels.
Professional
Football / College
Football: Ever since I
could walk, I've been playing this game. Unfortunately,
it's tough to throw together a pick-up game when you don't
have many neighbors! I've followed the Dallas Cowboys
through thick and thin. Purdue University, my alma mater,
has finally returned to its former glory as a team to
contend with.
Bicycling: I haven't been able to log as many miles as years
past, but if I ever get off my duff, I will make it to
the record book for human power with a device of my own
creation. See www.ihpva.org
for more info.
Bow Hunting:
While I'm not particularly supportive of hunting
solely for the sake of sport, I do enjoy hunting for my
food in the most sporting manner.
